Social Credit System

Some concerned engineers tell you: “You have no privacy.”

You say, “I have nothing to hide, that’s fine. Besides, we get these wonderful free services.”

Yes, you’re right. Everyone uses and get good benefits from using Google, Facebook, Amazon’s free or included in prime services. But you do know that everything is recorded, analyzed and they profile you. They know more about you than yourself. Seriously.

I won’t get into that how in this entry, but alarming changes are coming to the US. Or, globally.

It’s about reputation. We’ve been doing this all the time. Nothing new. People get connected through your acquaintances, friends, and relatives. For getting hooked up, marriage, business, jobs…anything. Even now, when the US government hires someone (or purchase of guns) they do background check, and they ask for reference. That’s checking your reputation.

This, being more systematic, is done in China, called “Social Credit System” — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Credit_System. In China, they use this already — https://time.com/collection/davos-2019/5502592/china-social-credit-score/

Does our country do this? Well, we don’t know for sure. Google, Facebook, all online shopping does record everything. Something we should watch out for.

Take a look at this video. I’m just hoping people start to think about it:
